An exploration of internal turmoil, Clodia mp's pictures take you to the core of one's tormented soul.
In her ongoing project “From Hand To Mouth”, the Greece-based photographer focuses on the phases of going through a mental illness: dealing with stress, instability, and showing how painful the whole process can be. She illustrates the regaining of intimacy with oneself through the medium of her photographs, some of them being her own self portraits.
Blood, sweat and tears come into play, juxtaposed with attempts to stay in one’s right mind. Flashes of intensity are followed by moments of giving in and delving into one’s fragile, fragmented soul, seeking for its own forms of expression. The objects, the gestures, and the bodies are in a constant dialogue, presenting the causes and the effects of this conflict.
