Exploring the thin line between what is considered beautiful or not, Veronika Svecova deconstructs the idea through her expressive photo series.

The Prague-based photographer works conceptually along the lines of contemporary art, always aiming to put the message of her pictures over focusing purely on visuals. Besides photography, she also explores the medium of video art which she’s planning to further delve into at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
In her photo series titled ‘Model’s Object’, she’s raising the eternal question of our perception of beauty, pushing the boundaries and skewing the traditional viewpoint.
“‘Model’s Object’ explores the difference of what we perceive as beautiful and what not, and deconstructs this concept. What is real and what is fake? Who is actually pretty, what is beauty, and why are we trying so hard?”
