Yulia Krivich captures the Ukrainian youth nestled away from the chilly scenes of mid-winter.
Though she’s currently based in Warsaw, Poland, the Ukraine-born photographer focuses most of her work on the young generations of Ukraine and their self-identification in the country being a constant state of flux. Rather than working as mere depictions from the external point of an observer, her photographs are delving deep into the feelings and states of mind of a society coming through the relentless dynamic changes.
In this photo series, Yulia takes us inside of a wintry abode encapsulating the candidness and intimacy of young souls juxtaposed against old tapestries, seeming weary much like after a night of debauchery. Interlocked in each other, they form their own structures fitting into parts of the room, merging with their surroundings as if wanting to grow into them and disappear.
